TBYN - Teen Blaze Youth Nations "CREATING VISION FOR A NEW GENERATION"
TBYN is a youth church ministry that targets the youth but reaches out to the whole family. Pastor Henry Mena Sr. founded Zion Christian Church, Incorporated, and asked his son, Henry Mena Jr., to help him with the youth. After seeing the growth and impact it made in the community, he blessed him to have his own youth church. In time, passing the entire ministry on to his son.
As a church outreach ministry in Hemet, CA, we believe in the power of God's love, the divinity of Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that through faith and prayer, we can overcome any obstacle and live a life of purpose and meaning.
We are a non-denominational Christian Church organization.
Teen Blaze Story
In 2002, Teen Blaze was birthed with the father's Blessing. Youth and kids started to come in from the local community. These were kids who couldn't fit into the normal Church structure. These kids were fighting in the parking lot, sniffing air conditioning fluid in the back of the church, graffitiing the bathrooms, and cussing on the altar. At first, it seemed like a nightmare.
One day, we thought God was punishing us.
Then it happened; we heard the Spirit of God speak to us.
He said," I AM RELEASING TO PLANET EARTH A YOUTH CHURCH MOVEMENT THAT WILL SWEEP INTO THE NATIONS."
And right before our eyes, we started seeing the Holy Spirit move upon these teens. They began to weep on the altar and repent. They began to worship with all their hearts, and we hadn't even taught them yet. It was God himself moving upon a generation.
Kids began telling other kids, and youth kept coming to receive Christ into their lives. Teen Blaze was born and is still going on to this day.
First Youth Nations Story
Out of Teen Blaze came our call to Native Country.
In 2008, "Morongo Faith Chapel," on the Morongo Reservation, heard about Teen Blaze. They reached out and invited us to come with our youth and leadership to not only be a part of their youth camp but also to minister the whole week to their native youth.
God moved so powerfully on all the youth that week. After the camp, the Pastor asked, ”Will you help us”. With tears in his eyes, he began to share his heart. He said, "If this mountain were to catch on fire and the rescue helicopters were to come, I would make sure all the kids got on. If it meant that I would die, I would give my life, to save the kids.
And he looked at me and said again, ”WILL YOU HELP US...?
And I saw the Father's heart in his eyes.
RIGHT THEN, I KNEW THIS WAS A HUGE ANCIENT DOOR INTO NATIVE COUNTRY.
And I said, "Yes."
Then he asked if I had any last words, I said, "WHAT IF CAMP NEVER ENDED? WHAT IF WE HAD A YOUTH RALLY EVERY MONTH ON EVERY RESERVATION IN OUR AREA LEADING UP TO NEXT YEARS CAMP”
SO WE LAUNCHED IT!
In 2008, we had our first youth conference on the Morongo Reservations community center with over 500 registering at the door. It was there, where we launched the vision for a "First Youth Nation Revival" beginning in the Hosting Reservations unto the rest of the United States Of America and beyond.
We had 12 Youth rallies in 12 months on each Indian reservation in our area. Navajo Nation heard about the unity of the Tribes and wanted that in their Nation. So from Southern California, we took two buses of tribal youth and our missions team and went to the Navajo Nation and held a youth rally.
We started realizing that God wanted to unite our Tribes through our young people.
Doors began to open all across our country for "First Youth Nations Movement" to come and spark spiritual fires throughout Native Country.
In 2012, we gathered 3,000 Native Americans representing 300 Tribes to pray for our youth and Elders.
We are continuing to spread the Gospel throughout Native Country today.
